He was predeceased by: his parents, Philippe Coté and Alma Coté (Routhier); his wives, Mary Ellen (Rucker) and Lorraine (Kehm); his son Mark Joseph Coté; his great grandchild Carter McGowan; and his siblings, Antonio, Henri, Robert, Raoul, Alcide, Roger, Jean Louis, Jules "Luke", Emile Coté, Rita McNichols, Mary Anthenat, Alda Farnham, Margaret Walters, Bertha Tarkenton, Monique Coté and Jeannine Rioux.
He is survived by: his daughter Jeannine Harms of Rochelle; his grandchildren, Christy McGowan (Mark) of Rockford, Andrew Harms of Rochelle, Heather Harms of Rochelle, Josh Coté and Amanda Coté; and his great grandchildren, Audrey Sullivan, Darby McGowan and Brennden Harms.
