He was predeceased by: his father Elmer C. Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Phyllis A. Johnson (Johnson); his wife Mary Ann Johnson of Princeton; and his sons, Mark Johnson (Susan) of Tiskilwa and Michael Johnson (Krisi) of Princeton. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters.
