He was predeceased by: his parents, William Grossman and Darlene Grossman (Whitmyer); and his sister Caroline Koos. He is survived by: his wife Janet M. Andersen; his children, Richard Grossman (Cynthia) of Lake Barrington, IL and Elaine Gotro (Jeff) of Dove Canyon, CA; his grandchildren, Dr. Erin Foster (Jeffrey), Lindsey Holmes, Emily Grossman, Steven Grossman and John Grossman; his great grandchildren, Parker Holmes, Caden and Kai Foster; his niece Carmen Sissel (Robert); and his sister Lauraine Hays. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.

Strict adherence to mask-wearing and social distancing will be observed, and the numbers of visitors at any point in time will be managed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ohio First Lutheran Church or to Buddy Bags, Princeton.
