He was predeceased by: his parents, Logan Sapp and Hazel Catlett Sapp; his wife Dorothy Sapp; and his siblings, Vincil Sapp, Glen Sapp and Mary Lou Sapp.

He is survived by: his sons, Tom Sapp of Aiken, SC and Larry Sapp (Lucia) of Aiken, SC; his grandsons, Travis Sapp (Whitney) of Broken Arrow, OK and Kent Sapp of Broken Arrow, OK; and his great grandchildren, Calvin and Skylee.
