He was predeceased by: his siblings, John, Clarence, Delbert Sparks, Roberta Thompson, Helen Mixer, Leona Kerker, Bertha Lou Baker, Rosalie Stone, Eva Rollins, Pearl Wells, Liza Craft and Marjorie Sparks; and his son-in-law Alvin DeJaynes.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Evans; his daughter Linda DeJaynes; his granddaughter Kara DeJaynes; and his siblings, Lowell Sparks of Winchester, IL and Reta Hamm of Bloomington-Normal, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
