She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Smith and Della McMillan Smith; her husband Donald Bixby, Sr.; and her sisters, Lola Smith, Evelyn Smith, Dorothy Sandoz and June Chaplin.

She is survived by: her children, Judy Bixby of Illinois, Donald Bixby, Jr. of Maine, Shirley Whalen (Charles) of East Peoria, Robert Bixby of New Salem, IL and Elizabeth Helmreich (Bruce) of Mt. Sterling, IL; and her grandchildren, Edward Whalen (Cara), Kimberly Whalen, Elissa Besterwitch (Garrick), Ryan Helmreich (Shyanne) and Emily Vigesaa (Karsten). She is also survived by three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
