He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Capps and Marguerite Belford Capps; his daughter Lila Capps; and his siblings, Glenn Capps and Lela Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Winston; his children, Dean Capps (Nancy) of Pittsfield, IL and Lisa Cox (Jeff) of Monroe, NC; his grandchildren, Adam Cox (Juli) of Kansas City, MO, Sarah Denbow (Robby) of Norman, OK and Jeremy Capps (Bayley) of Liberty, MO; and his siblings, Robert Capps of Pittsfield, IL, Donna Hall (Wendell) of Pittsfield, IL and Pat Marksbury of Moline, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
