Harley P. Whitlock Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2021 we had to say goodbye to Harley P. Whitlock of Pittsfield, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Earl and Alberta Whitlock (Crawford); his son Billy Joe; his siblings, Robert Whitlock, George Whitlock, Genevieve Ridgeway and Mary Jane Crowder; and his siblings-in-law, Bob Ridgeway, Walter Crowder, Edwin Hammitt and Eleanor Whitlock.

He is survived by: his wife Rita; his children, Harley Earl Whitlock (Lori) of Pittsfield, IL, Anita Andress (Scott) of Pittsfield, IL and Paula James of Pittsfield, IL; his grandchildren, Jennie Rebecca Whitlock (Mickey Gauld), Bryce Frieden (Brittney), Morgan McDonald (Tyler), Anna James (Billy Tinsley), Sarah, Noah and Jacob James; his great grandchildren, Bryleigh, Lucas Frieden, Ivy Lee Gauld, Evelynn, Brooks Frieden and Scarlet Tinsley; his sister Mardell Hammitt; and his siblings-in-law, Ginger Whitlock, Norma Harmison and John Kelley (Lois). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was looking forward to receiving the COVID-19 vaccination to prevent "that bug" and to also be able to spend time with his wife, Rita, and family in the near future. Rita had spent time with Harley at Eastside almost every day until early March when she could no longer visit him due to COVID.
