Dorothy May Apps Obituary

We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2020, at the age of 98, Dorothy May Apps of Pittsfield, Illinois, born in Moberly, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Warren Rukgaber and Ada Miranda Goodin Rukgaber; her husband Donald Apps, Sr.; and her siblings, Warren Burdette Rukgaber, Robert Henry Rukgaber and Nancy Ann Rukgaber.

She is survived by: her children, Helen Earls (William) of Pittsfield and Donnie Apps (Tereasa) of Pittsfield; and her grandchildren, Julie Lierly of Marietta, GA., Jacque Walston (Chris "Butch") of O'Fallon, MO, Jeffrey Lierly (Jaime) of Dayton, OH, Jennifer Griffith (John) of Marietta, GA, Chris Apps (Amber) of Pittsfield, Patrick Apps of Pittsfield, Michael Earls (Kim) of New Canton, Jodi Markham (Rocky) of Jerseyville and Michele Everhart (Carlton) of Kingsport, TN. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Due to COVID-19, the family will be having a private family service at First Christian Church and burial will be at Goodin Cemetery.
