He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Smith and Gladys M. Smith (Hoskins); and his brother John C. Smith Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sleight; his children, Stephanie Anne (Brent Bauer) of Wood River and Stephen Smith (Diane) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Amy Cox (Jeff) of Pittsfield, Ashlee Nash (Michael) of Pearl, Emily, Erica Bess of Wood River, Kristen Smith of Alabama and Mitchel Main of Pittsfield; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Abigail, Katie, Collin, Sydnee, Hayley, Brayden, Bryce and Beckham; his close friend Martha Witham; and his sister-in-law Marjorie Smith. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
