She was predeceased by: her father Kenneth Smith; her husbands, Stuart Peebles and Carl 'Bill McCarter; and her son William Cummings. She is survived by: her mother Louise Barkley Smith of Pittsfield, IL; her daughter Debbie Kays (Shane) of Jacksonville, IL; her daughter-in-law Rusti Cummings of Jacksonville, IL; her grandchildren, Michelle Kays, Brandon Kays, Joseph Cummings and Ashley Cummings (Jacob Batty); and her great grandchildren, Olivia Haverfield, Owyn Haverfield, Jayden Batty and Blake Batty.
