He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Irwin and Mary Darlene Bennett Irwin; his former wife Rebecca Irwin; and his wife Becky Irwin. He is survived by: his children, Betty Hayden (Steve) of Pittsfield, Bill Irwin (Rhonda) of Pittsfield, IL, Ryan Irwin (Cara) of Springfield, IL and Travis Irwin (Jeff Sobolewski) of Spokane, WA; his grandchildren, Clinton Hayden (Morgan Deeder) of Pittsfield, IL, Mariah Irwin of Springfield, IL, Jacob Irwin of Springfield, IL and Makenna Irwin of Springfield, IL; his great grandchild Elijah Hayden of Pittsfield, IL; his brother-in-law Gale Boren (Janet) of Pittsfield, IL; and his pet Bella. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorials are suggested to be made to Pittsfield First Christian Church (to be designated for the groundskeeping) or Pittsfield West Cemetery.
