With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard E. McGary (Petersburg, Illinois), born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on March 14, 2020 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther McGary and Pauline McGary (Collins). He is survived by: his wife Catharine Thomson; his sons, Keith McGary (Shellie) of Kilbourne, IL, Duane McGary of Springfield, IL and Mike McGary of Athens, IL; his grandchildren, Kati Todd (Ryan) and Dylan McGary; and his sister Nancy Cowan (Dick) of Ocala, FL.. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Petersburg or to the Menard County EMS.
