Irene Hazel Gum Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 18, 2020, at the age of 104, Irene Hazel Gum of Petersburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, J. D. Dierks and Anna Dierks (Taapken); her husband Harold Gum; her daughter Verna Kaye Nelson (Robert); and her grandson Greg Nelson.
She is survived by: her son Arthur "Art" Gum (Sandy) of Tallula; and her grandchildren, Sheryl Smith (Robin), Jennifer Drulard (David), Angela Gum-Miller (Susan), Randall Gum (Jennifer), Jeffrey Gum (Tori), Kevin Gum and Michael Gum (Jill). She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in Irene's name may be made to Sunny Acres Nursing Home for the activities fund, 19130 Sunny Acres Rd, Petersburg, Illinois 62675, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
