Homer Pettit Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 7, 2022, at the age of 87, Homer Pettit of Petersburg, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Pettit and Emma Lou Pettit (Masten); and his sister Mary "Nip" Kahbeah. He is survived by: his wife Mary Massingill; his sons, Ron Pettit (Jeanie) of Petersburg, Doug Pettit (Robin) of Petersburg, Andy Pettit of Petersburg and Jerry Pettit of Petersburg; his grandchildren, Ryan Pettit (Lara), Rachel Pettit, Brad Pettit (Becca), Jacob Pettit (Sarah), Annie Pettit and Allison Pettit; his great grandchildren, Cheyenne Pettit, Alivia Jo Pettit and Leland Pettit; and his siblings, Betty Downey (John), Ann Martin and Floyd "Tip" Pettit. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
