It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erma J. Gilbert of Petersburg, Illinois, born in Lomax, Illinois, who passed away on November 14, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. Ernie Smith and Edith Smith (Shanks); her husbands, Elias Jolly (Pie) and Lester Gilbert; her sisters, Bea and Bonnie; and her grandson John Bush.
She is survived by: her children, Sonja J. Jolly Bush (Don) of Nauvoo, IL, Courtney Gilbert and Dawn Yocom (Ken) of Petersburg; and her grandchildren, Mitzi Walker (Greg), Jamie Bush of Nauvoo, Shane Yocom of Petersburg, Melisa Miller (Kyle), Jeremiah Gilbert of Petersburg and Rachel Espenschied (Josh) of Petersburg. She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Masks will be required, social distancing, and following of the CDC guidelines in place will be enforced.
