He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Simkins and Gladys Simkins; his sister Judy Stiel (Alan); and his son-in-law Tim James. He is survived by: his children, Kevin Jerome Simkins of Chicago, IL, Rose James (Simkins) of Sugar Grove, IL and Deborah Meyer (Simkins); his son-in-law Eric Meyer of Marseilles, IL.; his grandchildren, Connor, Sophia James, Eva, Nathan and Sara Meyer; and his siblings, Roger Simkins (Jean), Richard Simkins (Debbie) and Kathy Kirkman (William).
