With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Michael Sanford of Peoria, Illinois, born in New Albany, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 4, 2024 at the age of 68. He was predeceased by: his parents, Geneva Sanford-Combs and Jessie Herman Sanford; his brother Timothy Sanford; and his significant other's son Joshua Woodson. He is survived by: his significant other Becky Woodson; his daughter Stefanie Metzgar (Nick); his brothers, Jim Sanford (Pat), Bobby Sanford (Pam) and Paul Sanford (Teri); his significant other's sons, Davey Woodson (Sidney), Jeremy Woodson (Hannah), Matt Woodson and Adam Woodson; his uncle Terry; his extended family Pambi Kinworthy; and also Judy Maxcy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
