He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Sherlock and Hazel Slain Sherlock Sr.; his daughter Kimberly Boers; and his sibling Pat Keefer. He is survived by: his brothers, Jim Sherlock, Russ Sherlock, Bill Kirkman, Earl Sherlock Jr. and Blaine Keefer; his wife Barbara J. Lee; his daughters, Debra Belfield (Steve), Lisa Brooks (Noel) and Crystal Nagel (Coy); and his siblings, Don Sherlock and Mary Ann Pate. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren.
