Vernice Funk Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernice Funk of Pekin, Illinois, born in Silerton, Tennessee, who passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Franklin and Ermer Lee Clayton (Ivy); her son Ward Clayton Mayberry; her sister-in-law Grace Clayton; and her nephew Danny Clayton.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Funk; her children, Valerie Johnston, Sheri Robison (James), Bobby Funk (Amy), Steve Funk (Terri) and Greg Funk (Terri); her grandchildren, Andrea Drake (Randy), Nicole Antovoni, Timothy Johnston and David Robison; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Hudson, Oliver, Gianna, Dino, Enzo, Axel and Aubrie; and her brothers, Ralph Edward Clayton, Sr. (late Grace) of Alabama and Russell Vernon Clayton (Joyce) of Tennessee. She is also survived by sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, cousins.
