He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard E. Sheppard and Mildred E. "Millie" Sheppard (Hancock). He is survived by: his siblings, Michael McGill (Sylvia), Gregory "Bird" Sheppard (Bonnie) of Pekin and Linda Mae Maas of Pekin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
