He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Newsom and Ora Newsom (Austin); his son Jerry William "Billy" Newsome; and his grandson Joshua Newsome. He is survived by: his children, Ronald David Newsome of Las Vegas, Nevada, Mark Jacob Newsome (Robin) of Michigan, Anthony Mario Newsome of Oregon and Mylen Alverson (Stan) of Ohio; his sister Joyce Wroblewski; and his wife Norma.
