She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl M. Jones and Jennie Jones (Scantlan); her spouse Gale L. Abernathy; her siblings, Gary Wayne Jones, Carl Mack Jones, Thelma Edith Morey, Opal May Lawrence and Myrtle Belle Amerine; her children, Gale Lee Abernathy, Carl Ray Abernathy and Diana Rae Lemley; and her grandson Brian Eugene Abernathy.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Gale Abernathy (Patricia) of Pekin, IL, Anthony Lemley of Bardolph, IL and Amanda Hurst (Curtis) of Tennessee, IL; her great grandchildren, Faith, Hannah of Pekin, IL and Cole of Tenneesse, IL; her great great grandchild Boston; and her siblings, Hildred Marie "Sissy" Coons, Juanita Johnson of Aransas Pass, TX and Billie Jones (Irene) of Bushnell, IL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the grandchildren of Dorothy (Gale Abernathy or Amanda Hurst) to assist with funeral expenses.
