He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred D. Kearns and Hester Mae Christison Kearns; his wife Donna Rae Wheeler; and his siblings, Gary, Virginia, Isabel, Rosemary, Twins Peggy Ann and Jo Ann.
He is survived by: his children, Ben Kearns (Cheryl) of Pearl Illinois, Teresa Lovegreen Palmyra (Stephen) and Nancy Ward (Larry) of Milton; his grandchildren, Amber Anderson (Richard), Alesha Jernigan (Jason), Adam Lovegreen (Jenny), Lacey Matthews (Jelani), Alex Ward (Brittany), Nicole Lovegreen and Lance Kearns (Kayla); his siblings, Diana Hipkins and Dean; and his sister-in-law Sherry Wheeler Ottwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
