He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Holthaus and JoAnn Holthaus (Fink). He is survived by: his wife Lori Koontz; his daughter Stephanie Hix of Chatham, IL; and his brother Phil Holthaus of Pana, IL. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews and great nieces & nephews.
Memorials in Steve's honor may be made to Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Medical Surgery Floor and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
