Matthews of Pana, Illinois, born in Ramsey, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hoyle and Florence Hoyle (Hoffman); and her siblings, Delsia Beasley, Ann Randol, Hazel Hoyle, Gene Hoyle, Eva Taylor and Norma Grace Hoyle.
She is survived by: her husband Herbert Matthews; her sons, Gordon Matthews of Pana, IL, David Matthews (Susan) of Pana, IL and Ted Matthews of Litchfield, IL; her grandchildren, Rachel Matthews, Justin Matthews (Angie), Jared Matthews (Kim), Jason Matthews (Erica) and Whitney Weddle (Ian); and her siblings, Shirley Lacey of Effingham, IL, Agnes Stelmar (Ernie) of Spring Valley, VA and Rex Hoyle (Evelyn). She is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
