It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon DeCoursey of Ottawa, Illinois, born in Galesburg, Illinois, who passed away on June 21, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Sharon is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Sharon's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Mayhall and Esther Mayhall (Larson). She is survived by: her sons, Jeff (Debbie Longest) of Ottawa, IL and Tim (Michelle) of Lewis Center, OH; her grandchild Bailey (Kiefer Hock) of Nashville, TN; her son Maxwell of Columbus, OH; her brother Larry Mayhall (Bonnie) of Ottawa, IL.; and her husband Lawrence "Larry" DeCoursey.
The family request memorials be made to a dementia charity of their choice.
