He is survived by: his wife Pearl Brownfield; his children, Stephen Scherer of Ottawa, David Scherer of Champaign, Cora Scherer of Lisle, Karen Turner (Daniel) of Austin, TX and Victoria Napier of Mark, IL; his grandchildren, Jonathan Scherer (Shannon), James Scherer, Kristopher Turner, Bridget Napier, Danielle Turner, Joseph Scherer, Katie Turner, Julie Scherer and Darryl Turner; his great grandchildren, Michael, Maddux, Myles Scherer and Makayla Wiley; and his siblings, Mary Anne Scherer, Don, Allen (Jeanie) and Chuck Scherer (Cathy).
