She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Thorson and Clara Thorson (Merle L. Freise); her husband James G. Gehler of John's Lutheran Church; her son Randal L. Gehler (Freise); and her siblings, Orville Thorson, Marian Boe (Clarence) and Doris Chapman (D. Wayne).
She is survived by: her son Kent Freise (Edie); and her daughter-in-law Sandra Gehler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church, Memorial Endowment Funds, Springfield, Ill. and/or Pleasant View Chapel, Ottawa, Illinois.
