He was predeceased by: his parents, Burton J. Riggs and Dorothy J. Thompson Riggs; and his brother Joseph Wm. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Cook; his son Jerry J. Riggs (Adrianna) of Indianapolis, IN; his granddaughter Elena Riggs; his sister-in-law Sara Riggs of Marshall, IL; his nieces, Kimberly Pinkston (Ryan) and Bobbi; and his nephew Andy.
