He was predeceased by: his parents, David and Dorothy; and his sister Sue Tepe. He is survived by: his spouse Janet Query; his children, Vicki Slowik (Gary) and David L. Query; his sibling Barb Southerland; and his grandchildren, Nic Slowik, Emilee Cunningham, Maris, Molly and David B. Query.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Norwood City Schools Scholarship Fund.
