He was predeceased by: his father Charles L. Hoffman. He is survived by: his wife Judith Lynn Hoffman of O'Fallon, IL; his mother Norva Lea Hoffman of Shiloh, IL; his children, Lindsey Shorter (Jared) of O'Fallon, IL, Amanda Jetter (Matthew) of Fairview Heights, IL, Emily Hoffman of O'Fallon, IL and Adam Hoffman of Collinsville, IL; his brother Terry Hoffman of Beaverdam, VA; his nephews, Kevin VanCoutren (Blair) of O'Fallon, MO and Terry "T. J." Hoffman Jr. (Megan) of Columbia, MO; and his grandchildren, Blake Shorter and Aiden Shorter. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
