He was predeceased by: his parents, Raleigh Fred Medler and Millie; his siblings, Leta Dawdy, Veda Stillman, Evelyn Baker, Betty Jo Kidd, Gloria Ann Keel, Chelmer and Ronnie Junior Medler; and his granddaughter Valarie Jean Konieczny.
He is survived by: his wife Lois J.; his children, Darryl F. Medler of Mound City, IL, Donna J. Greene (Salvador Pequeno) of Florissant, MO, Kathleen M. Konieczny-Dvorak (James Vander Pluym) of O'Fallon, IL and Brian C. Medler of O'Fallon, IL; his grandchildren, Ronald P. Konieczny (Anna), Russell A. Konieczny (Sara), Collin C. Greene (Hannah) and Elliot R. J. Greene (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Valarie M. Konieczny, Wade R. Konieczny, Parker J. Konieczny, Hayden A. Konieczny, Tinley J. Greene and Everly R. Greene; and his siblings, Kenneth Medler (Nancy) of Judsonia, AR, Billy Medler (Cheryl) of Searcy, AR, Bobbie Medler of Searcy, AR, Pete Medler (Betty) of Kensett, AR and Ruth Ellen Moore of Searcy, AR. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
