He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Fasnacht and Ethel Fasnacht; and his siblings, Onieda Slagley, Alice Shaw, Leone Huxtable, Bobby Fasnacht and Walter Fasnacht Jr. (Nellie Margaret Fasnacht).
He is survived by: his wife Nellie; his siblings, Betty Devore of Olney, IL and Albert Elvin Fasnacht of St. Elmo, IL; his children, Margaret "Peggy" Curry (Lawrence Gaskill) of Mattoon, IL and Elbert "Bub" Fasnacht II (Carolyn) of Carbondale, IL; his grandchildren, Patricia McMinn (Jonathan), Jonny Matthews (Jerimie), Matthew Ameroso (Nina), Sarah Curry (Asa Clapp), Taylor Hill, Greg Fasnacht, Katy Fasnacht and Jack Fasnacht; and his great grandchildren, Corban, Liam, Gavin and Adalyn McMinn.
