It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Caroline Sims Coon (Oakland, Illinois), who passed away on September 30, 2019, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Everett and Kathryn Fayne Bell Sims; and her sister Kathryn Sims Martin. She is survived by: her children, Kathy Thompson Decatur (Richard Beery), Nancy Holzrichter (David) of Oakland, Eric Coon (Shae McQueen Plush) of Ashmore and Jeff Coon (Jo) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Greg Thompson (Erin), Matt Thompson (Stacie), Andy Thompson (Laura), Tracy Brogan (Michael), David Holzrichter (Heather), Christopher Coon (Michelle) and Jason Coon of Chicago; her great grandchildren, Maxwell, William, Samuel, Charlotte, Colgan, Calliope, Ophelia Thompson, Cameron, Owen Brogan, Aubrey, Grayson and Wyatt Holzrichter; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Hinton and Joan Coon of Champaign. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
