He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Francis and Ruth Boyer (Throneburg); his wife Doris Davenport of Virginia; his son Billy Jo Boyer; and his brothers, Jimmy Boyer, Jack Boyer, Ted Boyer and Chuck Boyer.
He is survived by: his children, Cheryl Barnes of Pasadena, TX, Bryan Boyer-Skinner of Oakland, IL, Deborah Malone of Mattoon, IL, Tammy Bryant (Frank) of Mattoon, IL, Kevin Ray Boyer (Crystal) and Jacqueline Lynn Boyer (John Mastin) of New Castle; and his brothers, Bob Boyer (Ruth Ann) of Paris, IL, Jerry Boyer (Marge) of Windsor, IL and Terry Boyer (Carol) of Mattoon, IL. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
