It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Larry Ruppel of Oakford, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Powell Ruppel and Helen Ruppel (Satorius); and his sister Barbara Ogden. He is survived by: his wife Mabel Ruppel; his children, Kristi Houston (David) of Springfield, Illinois and Kevin Ruppel (Sarah) of Oakford; his grandchildren, Caleb Houston, Emma Houston, Jackson Taylor, Alanna Sparks, Ryder Lemaster and Gauge Lemaster; his great grandchild Audrey Houston; and his sister Marilyn Baum. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
