He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Foust and Ruby Foust. He is survived by: his wife Gale Willson Montrose; his children, Lisa (Todd), David (Hiona) and Jennifer (Philip); his stepchildren, Tim (Debbie), Susan (Doug), Ted (Dayna) and Sharon (Carl); his grandchildren, Michael, Sarah and Matthew Wanta; his stepchildren, Rhyana Steffen, Janelle Stelter (Steffen), Sabrina, Logan Montrose, Jenna, Joshua Stitt, Bethany, Shannyn Montrose, Lorena Montrose and Malisa LaPlante (Hartman); his stepgrandson Tripp Turchik; his great grandchildren, Zaid, Veda Diaz and Tobias LaPlante; his sister Rachel Smith (Foust); and his sister-in-law Grace Clift.

Donations can be made to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, or to the Special Friends Ministry at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, IL.
