It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Penny Mathis of North Pekin, Illinois, born in Walnut, Illinois, who passed away on November 28, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Stidman and Balma Rose Stidman (Johnson); her husband David Mathis; her grandson Kenneth Phillips; and her brother Joe Stidman.
She is survived by: her children, Andrew Mathis of Las Vegas, Nev, Virginia "Ginny" Mathis of Creve Coeur, Ill and Katherine Hickman of Spartanburg, S. C.; her grandchildren, Sophie Johnson, Desarae, Crystal, Rachel Mathis and Connor Hickman; and her sister-in-law Linda Stidman. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
