With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Courtland Merrill Brower Sr. of North Pekin, Illinois, born in Joliet, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward, Sr. and Alice Mae Brower (Knowles); his brother Charles Brower, Jr.; and his grandson Zach Putney. He is survived by: his children, Courtland Brower, Jr. of California, Shawn Cotton of Peoria, Theresa Butts of North Pekin, Jamie Bolen (Eddie "Lee") of Pekin, Angela Davis of Pekin and James "J. R." Butts, Jr. of Pekin; his grandchildren, Christopher Butts, Angelina Banks, Cory Banks, Kara Bolen, Jacob Bland (Hayley), Tari Oetjen, Jonathon Swanson, Addison Butts, Natalie Adamson, Jennifer Cotton, Parker Brower, Presley Brower, Faith Brower and Lorelai Brower; and his sister Margie Brower of Alabama. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
