Donald Ray James Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Ray James of Norris City, Illinois, born in Maunie, Illinois, who passed away on March 11, 2022, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emeart Elvis and Donna Mae James (Frymire); his wife Marilyn Joyce Brooks; and his siblings, Leon James, Cleatus James, Verda Shepard and Daisy O'Neal.
He is survived by: his daughters, Diana Lynch of Belmont, MS, Judy Phillips (Christopher) of Herald, Kendra Tharp (David) of McLeansboro and Kelly Turrentine-Beauchamp (Kelly) of Norris City; and his sisters, Norma Batteese and Daphne Bartley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Don's memory to the Norris City American Legion and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
