He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion Hughes and Lillian Hughes (Bryant); his brothers, Paul Hughes and David Carroll Hughes; and his sister-in-law Pat Hughes.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Hughes of Norris City; his children, Dinah Allen (Don) of Norris City, Mavis Tate of Carmi, Denzil Hughes (Debbie) and Marcus Hughes (Teresa); his sister Coradella Baker (Jared) of Newburgh, IN; his sister-in-law Cindy Hughes of Harrisburg; and his grandchildren, Daniel Allen, David Allen, Seth Tate, Clayton Tate, Bryan O'Neal and Hillary Yates.
