He was predeceased by: his mother-in-law Nell Rose Whitecotton; his father Henry "Hank" Southard; and his brother-in-law Bill Latham. He is survived by: his mother Edna Southard; his children, Jacob "Hank" Southard and Katelyn Southard; his siblings, Ralph (Dixie Southard), Pam Latham, Leslie (Greg Sweet) and Richard (Deborah Southard); and his sister-in-law Cindy Adams. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Partners for Pets or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be received at the funeral home.
