She was predeceased by: her parents, Reverend Edward Shannon and Bertha Shannon (Lowery); her daughter-in-law Brenda K. Skidmore; her brother Todd Shannon; and her siblings-in-law, Christine Shannon, Olympia Skidmore, Brenda S. Skidmore, Bill Shaw and James Skidmore.
She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Skidmore; her children, Johnnie Skidmore of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Reta Harris (Devan "Dumpy") of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandson Eric Harris (Autumn) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her great grandchildren, Samantha, Alexis, Isabel, Mackynze and Colton Harris; and her siblings, Norma Shaw of Mount Vernon, Jane Hefner (Leonard) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Melvin Shannon (Linda) of Mount Vernon, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Wolf Prairie Cemetery East Freesia.
