He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Black and Nellie Black; and his siblings, Dorothy Ross, Ruth Dowdell and Lester.
He is survived by: his children, Connie (Tom) of Springfield, IL, Dan Black (Dotti) of Mt. Vernon and Darrell Black (Patty) of Salida, CO; his grandchildren, Matt Byerly (Julia), Eric Byerly (Angela), Andrew Black (Becca), Brittany Collier (Joseph), Zackray Black and Rhiannon Young (Jay); his siblings, Kenneth Black (Shirley) of Apopka, FL and Helen Gill of South Easton, MA; and his son Construction. He is also survived by his children, his grandchildren, their spouses, and his great grandchildren.
