He was predeceased by: his father Donald Baal; and his father-in-law Elmars Kalnins. He is survived by: his mother Velda Baal (Klenz) of Pecatonica; his wife Brenda Kalnins of Mt. Morris; his children, Justin Baal (Cassie) of Normal and Emily Baal of Mt. Morris; his brother Steve Baal (Bonnie) of Freeport; his mother-in-law Marion Kalnins of Mt. Morris; his grandchildren, Kolbe, Maddison and Mayson Baal; and his sisters-in-law, Sandy Nordman (Al) of Oregon and Lisa Janes (Michael) of Dixon. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
