With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Matthew C. Hawkins of Mount Carmel, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on April 4, 2023 at the age of 55. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold A. Hawkins and Hortense "Dela" Hawkins (Freeman). He is survived by: his wife Selena Hawkins (Sampson); his children, Joshua Hawkins (Jevyn Dillon), Crystal Mudd (Brandon Sr.) and Selena Hawkins (Zac Davis); and his grandchildren, Brandon Mudd, Jr., Harley Mudd, Jaxon Mudd, Kylar Furhman-Hawkins, Xavier Hawkins and Tesla Krieg. He is also survived by one brother; two sisters; several nieces and nephews.
