He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert D. McConkey and Ann A. McConkey (Dietrich); his wife Mary Ellen Ginther; and his brother Roy Dale McConkey. He is survived by: his daughter Robin McConkey of Morton. He is also survived by one niece; one nephew and many cousins.

Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran School in Morton or T.A.P.S.

Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
