She was predeceased by: her parents, William Birky and Gertrude Birky (Eisele); and her husband Kenneth Gerig. She is survived by: her nieces, Sally Erdel (Tim) of Mishawaka, IN and Lois Birky of Morton; her sister-in-law LaRelda Birky of Morton; her great-nieces, Sarah Beth Getz (Matt) of Granger, IN and Rachel Martens (Peter) of Chesterfield, MO; her great-nephew Matthew Erdel (Megan Hoewisch) of Havre, MT; and also, Jack Getz, Peter Martens, Chloe Getz and Lily Erdel.
