He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Getz and Lydia Getz (Waldbeser); his wife Norma Stieglitz; his daughter Jane Getz; and his siblings, Robert, Elton Getz and Helen Fleming.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vicki Gehring of Morton, Patti Bushong (Roger) of Normal and Mary Andes (Rick) of Jacksonville, Fla.; his grandchildren, Chris Gehring (Beth), Tina Hasty (Mike), Jeff Andes (Bobbi Jo), Chelsea Termeer (Matt), Jessica Means (Tripp) and Erich Bushong (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Bree, Cate, Emma Gehring, Carson, Brooklynn Hasty, Abigail, Sam, Zeke Termeer, Josiah, Theo, Zeke Andes and Emmy Means.
Memorials may be made to Grace Church in Morton.
